In the past week, there have been several bizarre accidents in my circles. Thankfully, everyone came out okay, but these moments always bring a heightened sense of awarenessโnot just for them, but for me too.ย
Itโs during these times that we, as humans, are suddenly able to feel what truly matters in life: love, health, friends, family... This awareness often leads us to make life-changing decisions, like working less or shifting our focus to what truly counts.
This is exactly why I transformed my own life and career, becoming a Breath & Vitality coach.ย
I want us all to become more aware of what's going on inside, so we can recognize and feel what we truly need. Only then can we clearly communicate our boundaries and relearn how to say "no."
Earlier this summer, I was at a birthday party where people were checking their "body battery" status on their watches. Wait, what? We now need watches to tell us that? ย
Computers, smartwatches, smartphones... Weโre handing everything over to technology, forgetting how we used to do thingsโand still can. We've lost touch with our bodies because we're giving ourselves away.
Itโs okay to take a break and choose yourself. In fact, this is something more and more people around the world need.
Our breath is a natural tool for releasing, resolving, and healing deep traumas and emotional blockages.
But how do you start if youโre new to breathwork?ย
No one is truly new to this. We've been breathing since birth. We've just โforgottenโ how to use our breath effectively.
Our body knows much better than our mind, yet we live in a society that operates mostly from the head.
The first steps are often the hardest because we donโt know where weโre going when we try something new. Itโs scaryโno control.
Letting go and trusting the process is fundamental, but nowadays it feels like an elevated art form, reserved for the most creative souls.
Learning to let go, trusting the next step, going back to basics, breathing, slowing downโฆ
Reprogramming yourselfโpause, breathe.
Of course, this feels terrifying at first, but through repetition, it becomes easier.
You can reprogram yourself every day by simply learning to press pause.
Individually, in pairs, in groups, or at work.
Interested in trying this with your team, company, partner, or just for yourself?
Now is the perfect time to hold onto that post-summer relaxation. Give yourself moments of rest, so that in times of stress or emotional overwhelm, you can reconnect with yourself more quickly.
Donโt waitโtake control. Maybe you wonโt feel a connection with me, and thatโs okay. But I would be sad if you didnโt take any step at all.
Make that first moveโyouโll be rewarded for it.
